GSP Rushfit Review
Unlike many other fitness gurus, GSP is a personality who is recognised for using his fitness skills in his day job. Many fitness gurus get fit and teach fitness, but GSP gets fit in order to fight better. Most of us know who this guy is even if you do not follow MMA and we all recognise that he did not get in shape without a serious workout plan. So let’s look at what GSP Rushfit has to offer and see how different it is from other workout programs.
Similar to all other workout programs, this package is a selection of workout DVDs and training programs. This program essentially is an 8 week program that consists of six DVDs each of a 45 minute run time. This program also implements the use of light dumbbells (2 lbs. to 25 lbs.) which adds lots of extra variation to the exercises and certainly more intensity which is great for those who want to encourage increased muscle mass.
- Strength and Endurance.
- Explosive Power Training.
- The Fight Conditioning Workout.
- Abdominal Strength and Core Conditioning.
- Full Body Strength and Conditioning.
- Bonus Disk Balance and Agility Stretching for Flexibility.
One of the good things about this program is that the course is designed for different levels of fitness from beginners to intermediate to advanced. The box set cleverly shuffles the DVDs in three ways with the intention to make it more challenging as you go through the competency levels. This is a great value added option in the program because it is almost like you have three courses in one.
GSP’s trainer Erik Owings, a trainer and MMA fighter himself hosts the workouts and comes across almost like the commentator. Whilst GSP is grimacing and grunting in the foreground doing the workouts, Erik is great at explaining the reason for doing the exercises, how the workouts are best executed and how they will benefit you. You may also start to better understand the way body mechanics work and how the muscle groups interrelate. GSP interjects with comment and offers some real time insight in to the challenge and intensity of the workouts and all genuine sweat equity.
Firstly, what you get out of this workout program derives directly from what you put in to it. You have to work hard at this program like any other program even when you are feeling beat. The nice thing about this program though is that a credible personality is at the forefront promoting something which he does day in and day out. Fitness and fighting is GSPs day job and he is good at it. Emulate this guy and you could start to LOOK as if you could go a few rounds with him even though you would probably choose not to.
