ChaLEAN Extreme Review


Chalean Extreme hosted by Chalean Johnson (also the host of Turbo Fire and Turbo Jam) has come up with a contemporary workout which would initially appear to be for women due to more women being part of the workout group than men. But don’t be misled; this workout will suit men of all fitness levels who are looking for a good high energy workout and especially those looking to lose weight and tone up rather than build bulk muscle.

The main box set offers 15 workouts on 6 DVDs (see below for breakdown) each of which runs for approximately 30 to 40 minutes with the overall program lasting for 90 days. Chalean’s system is called Lean Phasing which is broken down in to 3 phases called Burn, Push and Lean. Generally, the three distinct phases are designed to rotate around three types of training styles called cardio training, resistance training and interval training. It’s the mix and rotation of these types of training methods that makes the program so effective.

BURN

The first section of the program is called Burn and lasts for the first 4 weeks and is designed to get your metabolism energized. Burn rotates interval training with light weights and resistant bands in order to improve cardiovascular fitness and speed. This section of the program also includes some kick boxing cardio training designed to add power, flexibility and dexterity to your workouts.

PUSH

The second phase of the workout program is called Push and takes you through weeks 5 to 8. The basics of this section are that it designed to start the muscle building process at the same time as shedding the fat. In order for this body transformation to happen, the exercise repetitions are less and the weights get heavier.

Lean

Taking you through the last 4 weeks will be the last section called Lean. Lean is everything it intends to be as it takes you through sets of further resistance training and cardio exercises. Heavier weights are used and extreme sets are introduced in to the program. Just like any program you use, it is the last sections that really make the difference the and give you the best visible results because you are capitalising on all of the work you have done so far.

The DVD Breakdown.

Disc 1: Chalene shows you the correct form for when you are using the weights and bands in order to not hurt or injure yourself whilst training especially for someone who is starting out from scratch.

Disc 2: Includes the Burn Circuits 1, 2, & 3 which uses weights to boost your metabolism. Workout the upper and lower body, and understand how the Lean Phasing system works.

Disc 3: Is Push Circuits 1, 2, and 3 using heavier weights and thicker bands if you have them to produce increased muscle mass and quickly shred the fat deposits.

Disc 4: Includes Lean Circuits 1, 2, and 3 and this is the final stage of the program. Use a mixture of bands and weights whilst working out the entire body and this sectiuon adds some extra sets in to the program to really make you  push and stretch yourself.

Disc 5: is called Extreme Cardio and includes the workout called Recharge and the Fat Blaster Workout:

Disc 6:  is called burn Intervals and includes Extreme Abs & Ab Burner.
